It is pretty faithful to the BTech franchise, though. Once you get the hang of it, you will breeze through things and combat starts becoming boring. The Crescent Hawk's Inception is turn-based, but has a simplistic plot and not much replayability, unfortunately. I haven't played it either as it has always been a sort of an automated TT calculator as far as I knew. There is MegaMek, but that isn't a game with a campaign or a story or the like, from what I understand.
